“Help,” shouted a girl as the Maruti car, in which she was seated, sped away thrilling the Delhi Police officials who resolved to save her at any cost, reports NDTV. 

The car was going towards Dhaula Kuan and the Police Control Room was called and alerted about the same. The PCR in turn alerted the Dhaula Kuan traffic police. Barricades were immediately put in place to stop the car and save the girl in distress.

Inevitably, the car came to a halt before the barricading. The traffic police nabbed two men identified as Sonu and Joginder and they were both handed over to the local police.

However, they claimed to be friends with the girl and then revealed that she had shouted for help for fun’s sake. 

A senior police officer told NDTV, “It turned out to be a bogus call. The girl and the boys were friends and they were drunk. They were returning from a party and just for the sake of fun, the girl cried for help. They were let off and there was no case registered.”

Although the call for help was baseless, it brought out the vigilance and promptness in action of the Delhi Police officials. The commissioner rewarded the three policemen who had stopped the car, namely Sub-Inspector Sanjay Panghal, head constable Ravinder and constable Balraj.

Perhaps they are learning how to add credibility to the belief of justice at their hands. It’s good anyway. Also, we cannot undermine the undue advantage that the girl took of the Police.
