A man injured himself on an Air India plane with a pen after he got irked due to delay in the take-off. The untoward incident took place at Chennai airport in a Mumbai bound flight. The 37-year-old inflicted an injury to self with a pen after an argument with airline officials, he was taken to hospital in airport premises and the flight flew with taking him on board.
The passenger was scheduled to board Air India’s 2;30 am flight which got delayed by three hours. The man argued with airline officials over the delay which led to an argument.
The man told the officials that he ran the risk of missing his connecting flight at Mumbai and in a seeming fit of rage, he took out a pen and punched his stomach causing mild bleeding.
After he injured self, he was taken to hospital within the airport area, but in the meantime, the flight took off.
