Jet Airways flight from Goa to Mumbai skids off runway

Jet Airways flight 9W 2374 from Goa to Mumbai skidded off the runway at Dabolim airport, Goa. The plane was carrying 154 guests and 7 crew members. All passengers were safely evacuated.

Jet Airways said in a statement:

"All guests and crew have been safely evacuated. Few guests have sustained injuries during the evacuation process."

The Dabolim airport will remain closed till 12.30pm IST. Jet Airways said that the airline is providing medical assistance to those injured in the incident.

More details regarding the cause of the incident are still awaited.
