How can women of this country be safe when the miscreants are roaming around freely. The matter is even worse because in some cases they end up killing people who oppose their acts. In such an incident, a 65-year-old man was shot dead when he objected to eve-teasing in Rampuri area of Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh.
According to reports, the deceased was saving his own daughter from the miscreants.
Police have registered a case against Kirshanpal and Vishal as they have fled and police have launched a search to nab them, the officer said.
The man protested the eve-teasing done by two youth when they shot him dead, said Ombir Singh, the SP. The SP informed that the accused and the victim are from the same locality.
There have been several incidents of shooting and killing related to people who stopped the eve-teasers.
In some cases, the victims are relatives such as the father and brother and in many cases, the strangers, who dared to get in and stop the heinous crime were shot at or stabbed to death.
