Coffee Shop Owner Faces Up to 5-year Imprisonment After Letting Model in Skimpy Apron Serve Customers

"The owner said that he didn’t know better and admitted it was a way to publicize his coffee shop that just opened last Tuesday," said the police commander.

A Thai model has posted a video as a waitresses working naked in a coffee shop in Bangkok on the social media. It has quickly gone viral and controversial.

In the video, she flaunts her breasts while saying "the coffee is so good, they use plenty of milk".

The owner, Prasong Sukkorn, also took pictures of the waitresses serving the customers naked in the shop. They can be seen wearing skimpy aprons and the shop owner thinks it's only a kind of stunt to catch the attention of the customers.

"There was no intention to be sexual or offensive. I posted the pictures online just as a way of marketing the business." Sukkorn said.

However, he is now facing a jail sentence of three to five years and or a fine of £2,255 for obscenity.

The two models, Arisa Suwannawong and Minggomut Kongsawas, 22 and 21, said they were felt sorry for the owner of the cafe in Chonburi because they weren't paid for the job. She just did it out of the goodness of her heart to help the coffee shop.

She said it was struggling to drum up business.

Sukkorn has then apologised for that. Police commander Thanachai Usakit from the Sattahip district station said the owner admitted uploading "obscene materials".

"The owner said that he didn’t know better and admitted it was a way to publicize his coffee shop that just opened last Tuesday," he added. "'He didn’t realize it would break the law, because the model in the photos wasn’t fully naked."
