In a bizarre case, a 24-year-old mentally challenged girl ran from her home and came to Mumbai to marry bollywood actor Salman Khan.
Kusum, a resident of Dehradun in Uttarakhand, ran from her house on August 11 and reached Mumbai. She was stopped outside the house of Salman Khan by the security guards posted outside the actor's home. Later the Shivdi police was informed about Kusum wandering outside the house.
When police asked her why she came to Mumbai, she expressed her wish to marry Salman Khan.
Police Sub inspector Narayan Tarkunde said, "Kusum's father said that her daughter is mentally challenged and her treatment in going on. She has earlier also escaped many a times."
