Basking in the glory of a sensational 3-0 whitewash over Sri Lanka, the Indian team celebrated the nation's Independence Day by hoisting the tri-colour in Kandy.

The 15-member squad, alongside the support staff were in attendance as captain Virat Kohli and coach Ravi Shastri stepped ahead and unfurled the national flag.

The flag hoisiting was followed by the National Anthem, at the conclusion of which Kohli looked up towards the tri-colour and paid obeisance.
