We all know that death is the one thing that is inevitable in a person’s life. However, there are times when we come across deaths that are ironic, given the nature and lifestyle of the person who died.

Just take Segway creator Jim Heselden, who we all know died when he fell off a cliff riding a – yes, you guessed it right – Segway. Another ironic death is the death of a teenager from Indonesia when he got bitten by his pet snake. He even attempted to ask help from his friends but he didn’t make it.

Speaking of pet snakes, another snake handler died when his pet snake “hugged” him to death.

Dan Brandon, a snake handler used to keep 10 snakes and 12 tarantulas in his room. One particular snake that he calls his “baby” is an 8 feet African Rock Python that he lovingly called Tiny.

Dan, 31, had Tiny since she was small. He loved Tiny so much that he lets her stay with her on his bed.

Unfortunately, the snake’s cuddle led up to Dan dying of asphyxiation in his home in Church Crookham Hampsbalhire.

A moment of peace
Coroner Andrew Bradley believes that Dan’s tragic death was not brought upon the savagery of the snake, but instead a “show of affection” that proved to be fatal.

‘I don’t believe there was any aggression on Dan’s part or on Tiny’s part, the absence of bite marks is significant here.

‘The most likely scenario is Tiny was engaged with Dan and I have no doubt she was coiled around him and there is a point where she either takes hold of him unexpectedly or tripped him up or some other mechanism.

‘And she then takes off, maybe because of the shock of him falling over or because of his reaction.
