Tesco Is Selling A Litre Of Baileys For £12

As far as I'm concerned, it's not really Christmas until I've knocked back the best part of a bottle of Bailey's. It's a drink I avoid for 11 and a half months of the year, but as soon as I hear that first Christmas song, I find myself needing a glass... or six.

So it's good news for me, and probably your nan, because Tesco are flogging a litre bottle of creamy Baileys for just twelve quid. Yup, that's right: ONE WHOLE LITRE FOR £12 ($16).

A litre of the Irish cream would usually set you back £20 ($27) - and about 90,000 calories - but the supermarket has knocked a few pounds off the price until 11 December, so if you fancy getting your grubby mitts on some you've got no time to hang around.

The £12 offer also applies to the coffee, chocolate luxe and orange truffle flavours, if you fancy mixing things up a bit. I'll buy one of each and let you know how that turns out. I can assume it's going to end well.

You can also save £3.50 ($4.70) on a litre of Famous Grouse, which Tesco is flogging for £16 ($21). Bargain.

If vodka is more your thing, then Stolichnaya has £7 off and is now on sale for £13 ($17) for a 70cl bottle.

Or, if you fancy, you can pick up a 70cl bottle of Jack Daniels for £15 ($20), meaning a saving of ten whole pounds - the same offer is on for Jack Daniels Honey, too.

I reckon you could probably do most of your Christmas shopping in the booze aisle of Tesco, to be honest, because who doesn't like alcohol?

Elsewhere, Morrisons is selling monster-sized bottled of spirits, with a 4.5 litre bottle of Jim Beam or Famous Grouse for £70 ($93) or 1.5 litre bottles of Disaronno and Jagermeister for £30 ($40).

It's the time of year where all the supermarkets are getting very competitive with their prices as they all battle for your hard-earned cash, so it's definitely worth shopping around and doing your research before you commit to buying that bottle of gin/vodka/whisky/all of the above.

Pre-drinks are going to be amazing this December, aren't they?
