This Student Used Trump Quotes For A Very Graphic Photo Series Protesting His Presidency

Her photographs show naked female models marked with Trump quotes in block capitals. The series of images aren’t shy, but then again, neither are the quotes that inspired them.

“The election was going on at the time, and I felt very strongly about the candidates and their views, so I decided to mix my political opinions with my photography,” Waston told BuzzFeed.

“I never really cared for or understood politics, but this year was different,” she said. “Although I was two weeks too young to actually vote, I was old enough to see what was happening and learn about it.”

“When Trump beat Clinton, my heart shattered,” the Oregon based student said. “I knew I had to create something different.”

“All I wanted from these photos was to help people realize who Donald Trump really is, and I just want to feel heard. I know most people are set on their opinions about Trump, but I just hope one person sees ‘#SignedByTrump’ and it opens their eyes.”

Originally, Watson posted the pictures to Facebook and Instagram, but due to their graphic nature, they were removed. Intent on showcasing her work she uploaded them to Tumblr where they quickly gained a lot of attention.

She was completely blown away by the reception her shoot received.
“Over the past few days, I’ve gotten messages that have brought me to tears,” she said. “To everyone who has supported me and #SignedByTrump, don’t let anyone silence you. Don’t be afraid to speak up about what you are passionate about.”

“I don’t know why Donald Trump is in office, or how this even happened, but he is. What we need more than ever is to come together. We are stronger together,” she concluded.

What do you think of her photographs? Have they inspired you, or do you think they miss the mark?
