Brazil hoping to play home friendly against Argentina in Saudi Arabia

The Brazilian national team’s Executive Committee are looking into the possibility of playing their home friendly against Argentina in Saudi Arabia.

Tite’s side face Saudi Arabia themselves in October, and would then have to fly back to South America to come up against their near neighbours just four days later.

But according to SporTV, the CBF are hoping to stay in the Arab country for the duration of their friendly window, and play both of their matches there.

Travel and air miles have become a huge issue for South American countries, considering most of their squads play in Europe.

The hope is that an extended trip to Saudi Arabia, although not great for fans at home, would be a help to their squad going into the hectic Christmas period.

So far there’s been no confirmation from the CBF on this issue.
