3. Changes in urination.
If you have trouble urinating or experience pressure during the process, it may signal a kidney problem. Other symptoms include an urge to pee at night, foamy or bubbly urine, dark (red, brown or purple) and less frequent urination in small amounts, pale and frequent urination in large amounts, and blood in urine.
4. Unexplained fatigue
Healthy kidneys produce EPO (erythropoietin), a hormone responsible for aiding the production of red blood cells that carry oxygen to various parts of the body. When your kidney isn't working too well, red blood cells are lowered in number and oxygen supply is affected, rendering the body tired. It can also impact your brain and muscles. This is also a warning sign of anemia!
