Israeli forces detained 10 Palestinians, including five women -- one of them a teenage girl -- during predawn raids Tuesday across occupied East Jerusalem, according to local sources.
Head of the Jerusalem Committee for Families of Prisoners Amjad Abu Asab told Ma’an that Israeli forces raided the neighborhood of Beit Hanina, where they detained Hatem Abed al-Qader, a local official for the Fatah movement, and 18-year-old Dima Adnan al-Natsha.
In the Old City, Israeli forces detained Abd al-Muttaleb Abu Sbeh, Mays Firawi, Ruaa Balala, and Ali Firawi.
In the al-Issawiya neighborhood, Israeli forces detained Rawan Moussa Arafat and her brother, according to Muhammad Abu al-Hummus, a member of a local follow-up committee.
Israeli forces also detained Fawzi Shaaban and Aseel Hassuneh from the Silwan neighborhood.
According to prisoners’ rights group Addameer, 6,198 Palestinians were detained by Israel as of October, 58 of whom were women.
