Kuwait - Personnel from Hawally Security Department have arrested a Filipino and an Indian, the latter violator of residence law, for trafficking in drugs, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily added, the arrest happened when police suspected the two men riding in a car. When the police officer ordered the Filipino to pull over, both men looked confused.

The police then searched their vehicle and found 10 sachets of shabu. During interrogation at a police station, they admitted to trafficking in drugs. The suspects and the contraband have been referred to the General Department for Drugs Control.

‘Shabu’ on youth: Offcers on a round of Hawalli governorate referred a Kuwaiti youth to the General Department for Drug Control after they found on him illicit drug ‘Shabu’ and related tools. Apparently, the youth aroused suspicion of the officers due to the reckless manner in which he was driving, and when they stopped him for checking, the officers found the illicit substance on him. Necessary legal action was taken against him. Meanwhile, a glass board fell from the top of new Jahra Court, luckily there were no applicants or officers passing by the area when the glass board fell on the ground.
