No work visas eyed for below 30 years expats

The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) Board of Directors will discuss in its next meeting a draft resolution on specifying the minimum age for expatriate workers to 30 years and stop the issuance of work permits to foreigners who are below this age, reports Al-Anba daily quoting sources.

 

Sources explained the decision will be applied to all professions in various sectors within the framework of labor market resolutions adopted by the  governmental and private sectors.

In another development, sources revealed the authority has referred Labor Inspection Department Director Eng Sultan Al-Hassan and Labor Market Research Department Director Samaras Mandan for retirement in line with the decision of the Cabinet on the compulsory retirement of those who have been in service for 30 years.
