Expats require a business leave notification to leave the country. Housewives and kids of all the expats who are under family sponsorship don't require business leave notification. Women under age of 25 who are unmarried and Qatari minors are also required a business leave notification.

Business leave notifications are approved by the employer. In case, employer rejects the business leave notification, employee can visit  Passport and Expatriate Affairs department to apply for business leave and the validity is 365 days. If Qatari citizens have dependents, then they must apply for exit permit. 

Through online, government agencies and private companies can apply for business leave notifications.

Cancellation of Qatari Exit Permits: 

This service allows Qataris, Expats who are holding smart ID card to cancel exit permit and it can be either personal or company sponsorship. Family member's previous approved exit permit can also be cancelled. 

To do so:

• Select Cancel Exit Permit. 
• Select the required exit permit to be cancelled.
