'Qatar open for 48-team World Cup'

Qatar is available to the 2022 World Cup to be held in the nation being expanded to 48 groups, a German daily paper said on Friday. 

FIFA president Gianni Infantino told a chamber meeting of the decision football administering body prior in the day that he had met Qatari initiative to talk about the development, as per the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ). 

 

The Qatar World Cup is presently proposed to have 32 groups with a 48-group competition previously got ready for a long time later in the version co-facilitated by the United States, Mexico and Canada. The bigger rivalry would expand the aggregate amusements played from 64 to 80. 

Talking at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, Supreme Committee for Legacy and Delivery boss Hassan al Thawadi said,"We are going to examine the choice with FIFA." 

Amid his most recent visit to Qatar on Tuesday, FIFA boss Infantino hailed Qatar's advancement on foundation in front of its 2022 World Cup and said the competition is ready to be the best one yet. 

Infantino visited the 40,000-limit Al Wakrah Stadium before taking a helicopter ride to see the other seven proposed competition scenes, alongside a few preparing locales. 

"You can see the progess which is being made here four years previously kickoff," Infantino said by means of an announcement from Qatar's neighborhood World Cup sorting out panel after he visited the 40,000-seater Al Wakrah stadium. 

"The stadium is extremely great. When you enter here you quickly feel how forcing it is." 

"The Russian World Cup has been the best ever yet the World Cup in 2022 in Qatar - I am certain - will be far and away superior," Infantino included.
