Black Panther Has A Big Fan In Michelle Obama

The Marvel smash hit of the Black Panther movie is showing the power of breaking down racial stereotypes. Not only are African-American going in droves to the movie theater to make this film on target to be the largest box office earner in history, so are all the other people of different colors.

Why is this? Well, because superheroes always come from the same point of view. They have a vulnerability. They are different. However, they all have the same goal, which is to help those who are being harmed who cannot defend themselves.

The movie has a fan in the form of former First Lady Michelle Obama who joined the millions of fans for the movie who find the story inspiring.

"I loved this movie and I know it will inspire people of all backgrounds to dig deep and find the courage to be heroes of their own stories," said Obama in a tweet, noting that the success of this film means many kids will see their cultural background represented in a big budget movie.

Stan Lee, who was the Marvel Comics founder and created so many of the amazing superheroes, designed the character of the Black Panther in the 1960’s. Now, over fifty years later Stan Lee, who is 95 years old, has a sweet smile on his face. His Black Panther character is on track to be one of the most profitable superheroes he ever created. For those who have not seen the movie yet, you are in for a treat. The movie is spectacular.

It is such an obvious tribute to the rise of black Americans in music, in films, and in regular life that a black superhero is extremely timely and very popular. Go see Black Panther. Take your friend. Be proud. Be kind and be happy. We all have a new black superhero we can respect. Well done, Stan Lee and the cast of this movie. Well done!
