Wedding proposals are something that people cherish. It's the most unforgettable experience for couples just like Anne Curtis with Erwan Heussaff and Coleen Garcia with Billy Crawford.

However, this policeman went out of his comfort zone and did a wedding proposal that his girlfriend will never forget.

Known to be a shy type of person, Police Officer 1 Kevin Merl Macatimbol asked for the hand of her long time girlfriend, Non-Uniformed Personnel Mercy Rivera on Monday while at formation in Alabel Municipal Police Station.

Macatimbol did his proposal in front of their Chief of Police and colleagues which was a game changer for him. After handing his girlfriend a bouquet of flowers, he went on his knees and asked her to marry him.

According to PO1 Kevin Merl Macatimbol, in his interview with ABS-CBN News, they've been planning to be wed for a long time now.

"Matagal na naming gustong magpakasal, but for some reasons di maituloy. Alam niyang mahiyan ako. Sabi niya kahit mag propose daw po ako na kaming dalawa lang," Macatimbo said.

Keeping it a secret, he asked Rivera's colleagues not to say anything about the proposal. Rivera, of course, immediately said "yes."

Their colleagues cheered for them and really felt the love in the air.
