Unapologetically unique and painfully cool, Dubai’s true music club Alpha has done well to secure a firm place in the city’s nightlife scene. Step into the quirky club and you know you’re in for a different experience. The unique décor is a bizarre but funky blend of ancient Greek statues and day-glow with Warhol-style pop art paintings. Private tables line the perimeter and a perma-packed dance floor sits directly in front of a raised DJ booth (one that has welcomed the likes of The Ramones, The Futureheads, and Dub Pistols among many, many others). A usual draw for the hipster, indie music crowd, you’d be well advised to dress concert cool. Think Coachella and you’ll do just fine.
FYI: Alpha does a no-frills but totally fun late Friday brunch kicking off at 4pm and ending at 7pm, just in time for the dancing to begin.

If there’s one venue that’s fits the description of a true club, it’s Boudoir. Inspired by an opulent French court complete with red velvet draping, gold accents and crystal chandeliers, the unapologetically exclusive nightspot prides itself on being over-the-top and incredibly unique. On any given night you can expect to find a Gucci-clad crowd sipping champagne and grooving to the latest RnB, hip-hop and house tracks. And with a ladies night every night of the week, you can be guaranteed to find the city’s glamazons dressed in their best and ready for a night of unadulterated fun.
FYI: Naomi Campbell and Orlando Bloom were both spotted at Boudoir while in Dubai.
3.Catwalk

It may take you a bit of time to find the Golden Tulip Hotel in Al Barsha, but the effort is more than worth it! Home to Catwalk, a hot nightspot that promises good-looking people, affordable drinks and rocking music, the highlight has to be the dance floor that’s dominated by a glowing red catwalk (naturally!?) that allows you to really strut your stuff in style. With cheerful, friendly staff and an innovative drinks list (they’ll blend you your drink even if it’s not on the menu), this nightclub offers some of the best music in town. An impressive list of local and international DJs spin up a storm during its many themed nights, playing everything from House and Retro to R’n’B and Desi.

If there’s one club that needs no introduction, it’s Chi@ The Lodge. Dubai’s behemoth nightclub is like one big dance floor offering the perfect place for club-heads to groove all night. For indie lovers there’s the red room playing everything from alternative rock to synth pop. For those more keen on hip-hop and RnB, there’s the urban room playing the best of classic and current hits. But for those serious revelers, there’s no place like Chi Garden, a massive outdoor dance floor where live acts from world-renowned DJs to uber cool bands keep the crowd moving all night. And when it comes to looking the part, opt for trendy but comfortable so you’ll have no trouble breaking out your best moves. Ladies, think flats and a summer dress; fellas, think sneakers, jeans and a cool tee.
