Traffic light system to monitor Omanisation in companies

A new online system will be utilized to inform employers in the event that they can hire expats and have met their Omanisation quantities in Oman, as per media reports. 

The traffic light signal-inspired system will give employers a “green light” for expat hires, or a “red light” to inform them that they need to hire more Omani nationals, reported TimesofOman.

 

A yellow flag will be utilized for organizations that have an unclear Omanisation arrangement that requires clarification with the Ministry of Manpower.

"The new system focuses around upgrading Omanisation rates in the private establishments," the newspaper cited a Ministry representative as saying.

"The framework relies upon the Omanisation file of private establishments. On the off chance that they accomplish the most extreme Omanisation rate, the permit application will go specifically to the accreditation stage.”

Information from Oman's National Center of Statistics and Information (NCSI) demonstrates that the Omanisation rate of the development part remained at 8.2% toward the finish of 2017, contrasted with 13 % in car deal and fixes, 80.6 % for oil and gas companies, 67.7 % for protection and financial services, 75.9 % in communications, and 93.1 percent in business banks.
