Here are the heartbreaking photos of President Duterte’s visit on slain Pinay domestic helper Joanna Demafelis’ wake in Iloilo.
Joanna Demafelis, an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) slain by her employers in Kuwait has been the headlines of different local news outlets and international news agencies.
The dead body of the Pinay maid was found by the authorities inside the freezer of an abandoned apartment in Kuwait while serving an eviction notice for the tenants of the said apartment.
President Rodrigo Duterte immediately canceled the deployment of the aspiring OFW’s in Kuwait after the news regarding the death of Demafelis has been reported.
Recently, the Facebook page “Philippine News Agency” has uploaded the heartbreaking photos of President Duterte during his visit at the wake of the slain OFW in Iloilo.
Mr. Duterte flew to Iloilo last Thursday (February 22, 2018) to pay his last respect to the late Pinay worker.
The photo shows how the president was saddened of what Demafelis suffered from the hands of her employers. He also expressed his sympathy and condolences to the family of the Filipina worker.
