Philippine airline to enforce 'strict' hand baggage rules

A Philippine airline has said that it will 'strictly enforce' its hand baggage policy on flights.

According to GMA News, Cebu Pacific will only allow one hand baggage inside the cabin from July 17, 2018. The bag can only weigh up to seven kilograms. The bag's dimensions must not exceed 56cm x 36cm x 23 centimeters for Airbus flights and 56cm x 35cm x 20cm for ATR flights.

Cebu Pacific operates daily flights in Dubai.

Apart from one bag, each passenger can also bring a handbag or a laptop bag that can fit under the seat. Passengers carrying infants will also be allowed to bring in one baby bag.

The move is in line with the airline's efforts to streamline operations.
