No signs of resolving Gulf crisis at this stage: Qatar FM

In the present scenario, there is no signs of the Gulf crisis being resolved said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. 

 

He was presenting a lecture on 'The Gulf Crisis and the Political Changes in the Region' at Qatar University today.

The Foreign Minister said that Qatar always welcomes dialogue but this does not mean we will sign a blank cheque. We will not compromise our national sovereignty under any circumstances, he added.

The minister also said that the blockading countries are obstructing Kuwaiti efforts, unlike Qatar that has always supported the mediation to facilitate the process of dialogue. 

Qatar was successful in overcoming the siege as since the beginning the government worked with the single objective that no citizen or resident should be affected by this blockade
