Qatar Airways denies giving free tickets to Filipinos from Kuwait

Qatar Airways has denied that they have given free tickets to Filipinos employed in Kuwait to return home.

Qatar Airways said in a statement that Filipino passengers, who were reported by some Arabic media websites and social media, have purchased regular airline tickets through a travel and tourism company in Kuwait rather than directly from Qatar Airways' offices.

The national carrier of Qatar, in a statement published on its official handle on Twitter today, said that it operates according to a commercial policy and it cannot prevent anyone, who have bought their tickets and have all the necessary papers, from travel.

Some Arabic media and social networking sites fraudulently claimed that Qatar Airways is allowing Filipinos from Kuwait to fly free to their country, after the decision of the Philippines government to withdraw all its employees working in Kuwait after a dispute between the two sides.
