The case of an expatriate man is currently being reviewed by a Criminal Court in Doha. The expat stands accused of stealing an amount of QR150, 000 from his office manager’s safe. The man is also accused of stealing computers and tablets worth QR50, 000 from the same office, local Arabic daily Arrayah reported.
While testifying before the court the Manager whose safe was burgled by the expat worker, said that the accused used to be an employee in his company and the theft had occurred while he (the manager) was out of station for treatment.
During his time abroad, he was informed by other employees that they had found the key to his safe in the safe of the accused while looking for some documents and upon checking the manager’s safe they discovered that it had been emptied and all the cash was gone.
The Manager also informed the court that the key to his safe was with the keys of his car that the accused was using to get around for official purposes.
