Qatar has been extremely lucky to get a ruler like HH Sheik Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani who raised the nation to its present well off state. The current ruler Emir, HH Sheik Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani administering the country as smartly as his dad did makes Qatar really lucky. 

1) Importance of Month June: Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani was born on June 3rd 1980, he is the eighth Emir of Qatar. He is the fourth son of the previous Emir, Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. He became Emir of Qatar on 25 June 2013 after his father's abdication.

2) The Youngest ruler in GCC: The Emir of Qatar is the most youthful ruling ruler among the GCC nations as the record of 2013 the youngest current sovereign worldwide.

3) Education: He shares an extraordinary bond with England. The Emir HH Sheik Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani got his education in Britain's Sherborne School. He also attended Harrow School from where he got his A/L's in 1997. He then went to the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and graduated in 1998. 

4) Groomed to Lead: He is the fourth kid in the family, HH Sheik Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani became the heir to the throne on 5th of August 2003 when his elder brother Sheik Jassim disavowed his claim to the title. Since then he was groomed to take over rule, working in top security, In 2009 he was appointed deputy commander-in-chief of Qatar's armed forces. 

5) Undisputed Leader: He's the first leader of Qatar to climb to power without turning to an overthrow. The transition of power cam in very smoothly.
