Saudi Health Minister: KSA's Health Sector is Largest In All Middle East Countries With An Expenditure Up to More than SR 150 Billion

Saudi Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah said that the health sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the largest among Middle East countries with an expenditure exceeding SR 150 billion.

 

In an inauguration speech at the Global Health Exhibition here today, he pointed out that the challenges in the health sector are similar to those of other countries represented in financial sustainability due to the steadily rising cost of health services, the scarcity of health staff, the demographic change of the population, increasing in percentage of aging population , chronic diseases and the accessibility of health services.
