A 69-year-old man and his two young grandchildren have been killed in a fire that gutted their apartment in Ajman.
Ajman Civil Defense were alerted to the blaze at 12.06pm on Thursday after a passer-by spotted smoke billowing from the fourth floor apartment.
Firefighters and ambulance crews rushed to the scene, with all three victims taken to Khalifa hospital in Ajman where they later died.
The two grandchildren were aged just 2 and 4.
