After four years, Indian finally gets lucky

After trying his luck for four years, a Dubai-based Indian national finally struck gold on Tuesday after winning the $1 million (Dh3.67 million) in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire Promotion.
S.R. Shenay is the latest winner in the draw after his Series 269 — ticket No. 2916 — was drawn in Concourse B of Dubai International Airport by Dubai Duty Free chief operating officer Ramesh Cidambi.

Shenay became the 129th Indian national to have won $1 million since the inception of this promotion in 1999. He has been a regular participant in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise Promotions in the past four years.

Commenting on his recent win, Shenay said: “Thank you Dubai Duty Free for this great surprise, I am so happy and looking forward to visiting you soon.”
A Saudi Arabian who bought his ticket online became the lucky winner of the BMW 750Li. Abdullah Al Khaldi was excited to have won a luxury car in Series 1683. He purchased the winning ticket No. 0355 on March 21.

The last motorbike, the BMW R1200 GS Adventure, was driven home by Antoine Abouchara, a Canadian national based in Dubai with the ticket No. 0004 in Series 332.
