BAO is inspired by China’s greatest explorer Zheng He, who led seven voyages six centuries ago, amongst them one to the Middle East, in pursuit of treasures and riches (hence the name BAO – ‘treasure’). The tantalizing culture full of intrigue and mystery, found by the explorer, helped form an everlasting bond between the Far East & the Middle East. 

This 2-day electronic music extravaganza at Meydan is a creation which revisits the past in order to unite the future. Martin Garrix

The young luminary Martin Garrix is the number 1 in the DJ Mag Top 100 voted by fans worldwide. He is best known for his breakout international solo-single “Animals” in 2013 at age 17. Upon release, the single climbed to No. 1 on the Beatport Top Songs Chart and impressively held the spot for four weeks receiving 100 million streams on Spotify and over half a billion views on YouTube. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, ranked number 2 in the DJ Mag Top 100. The Belgian brothers Dimitri Thivaios and Michael Thivaios have never missed a Tomorrowland Mainstage in the last 10 years, so expect an unstoppable and energetic stage takeover at BAO. 

Afrojack

This half – half Dutch/Surinam record producer and remixer is a bona fide force in house music and has sold-out venues across the world. No party is complete without his beats, and his unique style has landed him a consistent ranking in DJ Mag’s Top 10. 

Alok

For the first time ever in Dubai, ALOK, the phenomenon behind the hit “Hear Me Now” will be performing at BAO. He has signed with Spinnin’ Records, one of the biggest EDM/house labels in the world and according to DJ Mag; he is the highest- ranking South American DJ. 

Don Diablo

Born and raised in Holland, the EDM mastermind dominates every festival he plays at and has already electrified the crowds at Tomorrowland, Creamfields and EDC this year. We can’t wait for him to ignite the masses at BAO Festival! 

Nervo 

Highest ranking DJ Female duo of the world These Australian sisters co-wrote and produced the Grammy award winning single - ‘When love takes over’, performed by David Guetta and Kelly Rowland.
