Emirates flight attendant accused of stealing cash from passengers

Emirates flight attendant blamed for taking money from two travelers when they went to the guide of their sick dad has been found not guilty.

The 37-year-old crew member was accused of taking Dh9,000 and another $2,600 from the wallets of two Emirati siblings after they exited their seats unattended amid a Dubai-bound flight. 

 

Two Emirati brothers , 43 and 35, were ready flight EK373 originating from Thailand alongside their dad and stepmother on June 21, 2018.They said that their dad was in Thailand for treatment and fell sick out onboard the flight while coming back to Dubai. They cleared out their seats in economy class and went to keep an eye on their dad.

When they came back to their seats, they informed the attendants that their wallets had been opened and the money stolen.

They detailed the  incident to the airplane terminal police after landing.  The Egyptian flight attendant was later captured after a police examination. The man denied a burglary charge at Dubai Criminal Court and was found not guilty by judges because of an lack of proof.
