Indian expat missing for more than 3 months in UAE

The family of a missing Indian expat is seeking the public's help to find him.

Abdul Latheef was doing a small-time job in Abu Dhabi for one year before he went missing days before the start of the holy month of Ramadan, his relative said.

"Abdul Latheef is my sister's husband. He has been missing since May 16. Initially we searched among our known contacts, then followed up with authorities and also sought help from community groups," Rahim, a relative, said. The 38-year-old hails from the Kannur district of Kerala.

"We even went to the extent of searching hospitals and mortuaries. I search for him whenever I could. I am constantly in touch with my friend for any information on him. So far we haven't had any success," Rahim, who stays in outskirts of Abu Dhabi, remarked.

"His four-year-old daughter and wife back in Kerala are eagerly waiting to hear news of his safe return. Now we are counting on public support to find Latheef. Those who might have seen him or have any information can call Rahim at 0507112435," Rahim added.
