New bonus system gives 1-month basic salary in UAE

Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Ruler's Representative for Administrative and Financial Affairs and Chairman of the Ajman Free Zone, issued a decree regarding bonuses, rewards and incentivised systems in Ajman government. 

 

The decree came in line with the Director General of Central Human Resources of Ajman Government's goals to promote positive behaviour patterns and general productivity levels. 

It also promotes a creative work culture amongst employees of several government departments, as well as fostering an attractive workplace environment in Ajman government.

The decree also aims to enhance institutional loyalty amongst employees. 

Guidelines stipulate the monetary amounts allocated for the rewards, as well as the categories under which employees can be awarded and who is authorised to issue these financial grants. 

Employees who outdo their performance metrics, improve upon existing methods, cut budgetary costs, or contributes to organisational excellence by helping to win an award, can be given a monetary or honorary compensation. 

Rewards cannot exceed a basic one-month salary. Employees can be honoured in the following categories:

- Innovative employee

- Social employee

- Customer service employee

- Cooperative employee

- Best manager

- Best committee or best team
