Road trips from Dubai to Oman will be easier by next month

The entire stretch of Al Batinah Expressway will be opened for motorists on May 7, making driving to Dubai a lot easier.

The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) has announced the opening of Al Batinah Expressway, which has been divided into six packages with a total length of 265 km.

The expressway stretches from Halban to Khatmat Malaha in the Wilayat of Shinas, a Times of Oman report said.

The road has four lanes on each direction with four-metre islands in between.
