A 92-year-old Nigerian man has made headlines and has had the International media up in arms by revealing the fact that he has 97 wives and plans to marry many more times.
According to NT News he had actually married 107 times and has divorced 10 of his wives.
NT News also revealed the fact that it was in 2008 that the Nigerian court had forced Mohammed Bello Abubakar to divorce 82 0f his 86 wives then. But he had flatly refused to do so.
He has also sired a total of 185 children and has outlived most of them.
Mohammed Bello Abubakar has stolen the limelight off other issues when rumours about his death surfaced recently.
"My dear, I am very much alive, hale and hearty," he was quoted as saying to Nigeria's Vanguard newspaper.
He further added that "the rumour is baseless and can best be described as the work of my detractors because they envy what God has done and what He is still doing for me.
"What I am doing is divine. It is an assignment and I will keep doing it till the end," he concluded (as mentioned in The Independent).
