A Russian television reporter got a punch in the face on air Wednesday in Gorky Park in Moscow while reporting for an annual military holiday.
Nikita Razvozzhayev, a journalist for the pro-Kremlin NTV television channel, was praising the professionalism of the Russian paratrooper units when a seemingly drunken bearded man approached him by stammering something about the invasion of the Russian forces in Ukraine.
When the journalist kindly asked him to be silent, the man threw him a strong punch in the right chin; forcing him to stop his televised broadcast.
“If you talk to me like that you’ll… get it,” shouted the assailant, who was later named as Dmitri Orlov.
The video of the incident has quickly gone viral and has been viewed by more than 600,000 people on NTV’s YouTube channel.
It wasn’t immediately clear whether the reporter’s injury was serious.
The assailant was quickly arrested by the police, according to reports.
