After the death of a stuntwoman on the sets of ‘Deadpool 2’, Ryan Reynolds posted a heartbreaking tribute to her on Twitter. As reported by Variety, the first female African-American road racer was identified as Joi “SJ” Harris.
In his tweet, Reynolds talked about how the entire set feels the loss of this tragedy and can only imagine what the family and loved ones must be feeling in this moment. He said that his heart goes out to all those who are mourning the loss of the deceased.
The Vancouver Sun had reported that the accident took place on Monday when the stuntwoman lost control of the bike in the middle of the stunt, ran over a curb and smashed through a window made of plate-glass at Shaw Towers.
A 20th Century Fox spokesperson said in a statement that everybody is deeply saddened due to this tragic mishap on the sets of ‘Deadpool 2’ and that they are all praying for the family and friends during this difficult time. Director of the movie, David Leitch, also expressed his utter grief about the loss of a crew member. He expressed sadness on behalf of the entire crew of ‘Deadpool 2’.
The official page of Vancouver Police had also tweeted about the death of the stuntwoman on the sets of ‘Deadpool 2’ while a shoot involving a bike stunt went wrong.
Only a month before this accident, another death of a stuntman was witnessed on the sets of ‘The Walking Dead’ while shooting in Atlanta.
