Syrian 'Twitter girl' safe amid heavy bombing

The seven-year-old Bana Al Abed, whose tweets about bombing in Syria's Aleppo brought international attention, has fled her home amid intense fighting. But her father said she and her family was safe.

According to a report in Telegraph that cited Abed's tweet, confirmed the news of her well-being.

Bana Alabed tweeted on Tuesday:

 

The account on Sunday tweeted: "We are sure the army is capturing us now. We will see each other another day dear world. Bye.- Fatemah."

There was no update for the next 24-hours, prompting her followers to launch a hashtag campaign "WhereIsBana".

A tweet on Monday night read: "Under attack. Nowhere to go, every minute feels like death. Pray for us. Goodbye - Fatemah."
