Film Body Demands Real Protection After Gunmen Open Fire On Tiger Shroff

Chaos Outside Pushpa Park In Mumbai

Bollywood action star Tiger Shroff escaped without serious injury on Sunday evening after three unidentified men on a motorcycle opened fire in Mumbai. The frightening attack occurred outside Pushpa Park in the Juhu neighborhood just as the actor finished playing a football match. As Shroff walked toward his car surrounded by eager fans, the attackers fired into the crowd, striking the actor's driver. Television actor Karanveer Mehra, who was leaving the same venue right behind Shroff, described the chaotic scene to reporters. Because a children's birthday party was setting off fireworks nearby, bystanders initially mistook the gunshots for festive firecrackers. Seconds later, panicked families and children ran for cover as Mehra spotted blood on the pavement and learned a bullet had hit Shroff's driver. Mehra praised Shroff as a respectful, hardworking colleague and wished the wounded driver a swift recovery.

High-Profile Visitors And Industry Outrage

Within hours of the shooting, Maharashtra leaders and close friends rushed to the Shroff family residence to check on the actor. Actress Disha Patani was photographed arriving at the home carrying a care package for Shroff and his family. Meanwhile, angry reactions poured in across social media from actors and directors rattled by the brazen street violence. Actor Ranvir Shorey condemned the shooting as shocking and disgusting, demanding that authorities show zero mercy to the perpetrators. Filmmaker Rahul Dholakia questioned the state of law and order in Mumbai, pointing out that jailed gangsters openly threaten Bollywood figures and shoot at will. Dholakia called on Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Maharashtra leaders to explain who holds responsibility for public safety.

Cine Workers Association Warns Of 1990s Underworld

The All Indian Cine Workers Association issued a blistering statement placing the Juhu shooting within a wider pattern of intimidation targeting Mumbai's entertainment industry. The association noted that gunmen previously fired outside the homes of actor Salman Khan and director Rohit Shetty. Furthermore, actor Saif Ali Khan suffered a stabbing attack inside his Bandra residence, and comedian Kapil Sharma's cafe faced repeated attacks. "Today it is Tiger Shroff. Who is next?" the association asked, warning that Mumbai's streets are resembling the dark underworld era of the 1990s. The union insisted that official statements are no longer enough and demanded concrete police action to dismantle the extortion networks targeting Bollywood.
