India will witness a partial eclipse of the Moon (lunar eclipse) on the night of August 7th. Visible across the country the eclipse will start at 10:52 pm and will end at 12:49 am.
According to a statement by the ministry of earth sciences, the eclipse will be visible from central and east Africa, China, India, Russia, most parts of Australia, and the Far East. It added that the next eclipse of the Moon will be a total lunar eclipse which will occur on January 31st next year. That will also be visible from India.
Reportedly, The Nehru Planetarium will be arranging telescopes for visitors who wish to observe the Moon during the eclipse that will last for 1 hour and 57 minutes. The event will be hosted at Teen Murti House lawns from 9 pm on Monday night.
