The Indian state resorted to physical violence to suppress a growing youth movement. Riot police in New Delhi aggressively baton-charged thousands of student protesters who were attempting to march toward Parliament on Monday to demand accountability for massive educational failures.
The demonstrators, organized largely by the satirical Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), defied heavy police barricades and monsoon rains. They demanded the immediate resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan following devastating question paper leaks and technical glitches that ruined the NEET medical entrance exams.

Students scrambled for cover as police in heavy riot gear charged the crowd near the Jantar Mantar protest site. The government deployed force and restricted internet access in central New Delhi, claiming the massive gathering lacked formal administrative permission.
The aggressive police response comes shortly after prominent activist Sonam Wangchuk was hospitalized, ending a grueling 20-day hunger strike. The ruling elite clearly views this unified, frustrated youth demographic as a massive political threat and has chosen to crush their peaceful demands with absolute, unapologetic state force.
