NEET UG Topper Aryan Gupta Honors His Late Grandmother by Pursuing a Career in Oncology

Securing the top rank in the highly competitive NEET UG exam is a monumental academic achievement, but for 17-year-old Aryan Gupta, it represents the first step toward a deeply personal mission. The bright student from Ludhiana achieved an incredible All India Rank 1, scoring a near-perfect 715 out of 720 on the medical entrance exam.

Aryan comes from a dedicated family of medical professionals, which naturally inspired his career path. However, his specific ambition to become an oncologist was profoundly shaped by the passing of his grandmother from stage 4 cancer. He shared that this personal loss solidified his desire to specialize in cancer treatment and help other families facing the disease.

Overcoming Unexpected Setbacks

Aryan’s incredible journey required immense resilience, especially when the initial NEET UG 2026 exam was canceled due to unforeseen national administrative issues. While the sudden requirement for a re-examination was initially disheartening, Aryan used the extra time to refine his knowledge, ultimately reducing his exam mistakes and securing his top position.

He attributes his success to years of consistent preparation and strong discipline. During his most intensive study periods, he maintained a strict schedule while ensuring he received adequate sleep to stay mentally sharp. As a former table tennis player, he also valued taking healthy breaks to recharge his mind.

A Stepping Stone to the Future

Aryan credits his supportive parents and his teachers for guiding him safely through the stressful process. His advice to future medical aspirants is encouraging and practical: stay consistent, trust the strategies provided by experienced teachers, and maintain a balanced, disciplined approach.

While his exam results are worthy of massive celebration, the humble student views this achievement as just the beginning of his lifelong journey to make a positive difference in the medical field.
