UNGA President to visit Pakistan on January 18

"The (UNGA) President is looking forward to strengthening ties between Pakistan and the UN"

The President of the UN General Assembly (UNGA), Maria Fernanda Espinosa, will visit Pakistan from January 18 to 22, her representative said. 

As indicated by representative Monica Grayley, this will be Espinosa's first official visit to the Asia Pacific since she took office in September. 

Amid her five-day visit, Espinosa will meet Pakistan's President Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Imran Khan, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi just as agents of the UN and common society, Geo News provided details regarding Saturday. 

 

"The (UNGA) President is anticipating reinforcing ties among Pakistan and the UN, advancing multilateralism and proceeding with her work with the nation on the needs for the 73rd session of the General Assembly," Grayley said while tending to an instructions at the UN central station here. 

Discussing the visit, Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the UN, Maleeha Lodhi, said that the nation's authority intends to talk about a wide scope of worldwide and territorial issues with the UNGA President amid her visit.
