Video: Pakistan PM responds to woman's plea after clip goes viral

Imran Khan spoke to the woman via video call the next day.

On March 17, a video of an underprivileged, elderly woman, Naseem Bibi appealing to the government to provide her a shelter went viral.

The video begins with the homeless woman's greetings, "Assalam o Alaikum Imran Khan, I voted for you and you do not care for the poor." Going ahead, she appeals to Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan to provide her a house as she was living in the open ever since her husband died.

The helpless woman showed the small hut that she lives in. She went on to say that she hadn't eaten anything in the past two days. She appealed to the authorities to let her stay near Bhara Kahu as her husband was buried nearby.

After the plea went viral and reached Imran Khan, he immediately responded to the woman.

The next day, on March 18, Imran Khan reached out to the woman and spoke to Naseem Bibi through a video call.

The Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad, Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat, posted an update on his Twitter page that the Prime Minister has personally called the lady via video call. Directions have been received and the issue will be resolved soon.
