Five Shots Fired At Actor's BMW In Juhu
Fresh details have emerged after Bollywood star Tiger Shroff survived a brazen shooting near his Mumbai home on Sunday evening. Around 7:00 pm near Pushpa Park in Juhu, three men on a motorcycle ambushed the actor's BMW as he returned from a football game. Two suspects opened fire, discharging five rounds at the vehicle while the third rider kept the motorcycle running for their getaway. While Shroff escaped bullet wounds, the gunfire injured his driver as well as a passing autorickshaw driver nearby. Mumbai Police immediately formed 15 specialized investigation teams to track the gunmen and detained one suspect in Santacruz for questioning. Meanwhile, authorities are investigating an unverified social media post by individuals named Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu claiming responsibility on behalf of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Bandaged Hands And A Mother's Relief
Speaking briefly to reporters for the first time since the terrifying ambush, the actor's mother, Ayesha Shroff, flashed a thumbs-up sign. "God is great," she said simply, expressing immense relief that her son survived the close-range shooting. Late Sunday night, several close friends, including actress Disha Patani, visited the Shroff residence to comfort the family. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also visited the family home hours after the incident to check on the actor personally. Shroff appeared at the meeting with bandages wrapped around his hands. Shinde explained to reporters afterward that gunpowder residue and shattered window glass had cut the actor's hands during the attack, leaving both Tiger and his mother badly shaken.
State Leaders Vow Crackdown On Extortion Gangs
Shinde condemned the shooting in strong terms and pledged that the Maharashtra government will not tolerate underworld intimidation targeting public figures. Recalling how Mumbai Police crushed rampant gang violence in the mid-1990s, Shinde promised an equally decisive crackdown against today's criminal syndicates. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also telephoned Shroff directly on Sunday night to assure him of full state security. Fadnavis promised the actor that police teams will track down and arrest every individual involved in the Juhu shooting swiftly.
