KL Rahul-Backed Fitness Brand Boldfit Raises Rs 4 Billion In New Funding

Major Capital Injection For Bengaluru Startup

Indian sportswear and fitness equipment brand Boldfit has raised more than Rs 400 crore in a Series B funding round. The Dh168 million investment provides substantial capital for the Bengaluru-based company, which counts cricketer KL Rahul among its celebrity backers. Bharat Value Fund, managed by The Wealth Company Alternates under the Pantomath Group, led the major financing round. Existing institutional investor Bessemer Venture Partners also contributed fresh capital to support the company's next growth phase. Financial analysts described the transaction as Bharat Value Fund's largest single investment in the Indian consumer sector to date. Entrepreneur Pallav Bihani founded Boldfit in 2018 to sell affordable athletic footwear, workout apparel, yoga mats, and fitness accessories. Over the past three years, the brand achieved compound annual growth exceeding 80 percent while serving 20 million customers annually.

Expanding From Online Sales To Physical Stores

Boldfit previously raised Rs 110 crore from Bessemer Venture Partners during its Series A funding round in 2024. Having established a massive online customer base, Bihani now plans to build a nationwide brick-and-mortar retail network across India. The company will also allocate funds toward expanding domestic manufacturing capacity, researching new product designs, and acquiring smaller niche brands. Celebrity endorsements and athlete investments have played a central role in building consumer trust for the young fitness company. KL Rahul invested in Boldfit in July 2024 and actively promotes its training gear as a brand ambassador. Indian tennis icon Sania Mirza also serves as a celebrity investor in the rapidly growing Bengaluru enterprise.

Rahul Focuses On Domestic Red-Ball Form

While his off-field investment portfolio thrives, Rahul is currently working to regain his batting rhythm in domestic cricket. Representing Karnataka in the ongoing Ranji Trophy, the veteran batter scored four runs and one run against Andhra. Rahul will look to bounce back at the crease when Karnataka faces Saurashtra starting on October 18. Track the intersection of professional sports, startup investments, and corporate finance.
