Far-right ideology has seen a resurgence in Europe and America in recent times.

In such a peculiar instance, John Rees-Evans, leader of the anti-immigrant, far-right UK Independent Party is offering up to 9,000 pounds to Commonwealth immigrants to leave the UK.

Evans further made a specific reference to Indians and Tanzanians in the program meant to cut unnecessary population in the UK.

Far right and immigration

Rooted in the belief that superior people should be allowed more rights, far-right ideology is fundamentally opposed to the idea of equality among different groups in the society. Their rhetoric advocating anti-immigration and racial purity is associated with those including Nazis.

What does Evans suggest?

Evans recommends the UK government's annual spending on foreign aid to be cut from 13 billion pounds to 1 billion pounds.

Around 12.3 billion pounds is proposed to be spent to incentivize immigrants with a dual British citizenship to leave.

Emphasizing on Indians as an example, Evans further notes that the money would be utilized in helping them set businesses elsewhere.

Evans defends the proposal

Speaking at a meeting in Greater Manchester, Evans notes, "It's not going to be draconian. It's not going to be fascist. I'm not interested in using eugenics or other evil things, and yet I would be pushing for negative net migration towards one million a year."

What does this mean?

Arguments made by those including far-right groups have gained strength, following the increasing incidence of attacks unleashed by immigrants under the influence of extremist ideology.

Increasing migrant influx from regions including Africa has further put strain on Europe's social and economic fabric, often causing them to lash out with hatred.

In a worst case scenario, extremist ideologies may clash in violent ways.
