4: Samba Financial Group

Samba Financial Group (formerly known as the Saudi American Bank) is a large banking firm in Saudi Arabia. It has 66 branches in Saudi Arabia, as well as branches in London, Qatar and Dubai. The bank was established in 1980 as The Saudi American Bank after it replaced Citibank branches in Jeddah and Riyadh. Until 2003, Samba was known as the acronym for Saudi American Bank, but the name was changed to Samba Financial Group in this year and all references to Saudi American Bank were removed.
