While I like to top my smoothie with shredded coconut and cinnamon, you can get as creative as you like, using other ingredients like fresh mango or whipped cream. Here’s how to create your own tropical turmeric smoothie:
Ingredients:
- One peeled orange
- One ripe banana
- One cup frozen mango
- Two pitted dates
- One peeled thumb size turmeric root (you can also use turmeric powder instead of the root)
- Water for blending
Preparation:
Add all the ingredients to a blender or mixer and blend until you get a smooth consistency. Add water as required, to give a smoother consistency.
If you’d like your turmeric smoothie to be a little extra creamy, you can even add coconut butter or vegan milk.
